The Tyalgum Festival Committee works year round to bring together the Festival weekend, the annual Friends’ Concert, the Art Gallery Series, and to promote additional special performances, such as this year’s Mavis’s Kitchen Dinner Concerts.  The Festival also supports emerging young talent through the Young Virtuosi Concert, the Bright Sparks Music Program and special benefit recitals.


Many of you have asked what you can do to support the mission of the Tyalgum Festival Committee above and beyond your Friends’ Membership.


We are very pleased that again in 2012, the Tyalgum Festival Committee is working with the Australia Business Arts Foundation (AbaF) to enable our supporters to make tax deductible donations.


The Australia Cultural Fund was established to encourage people to donate to the arts and to enable not-for-profit groups like the Tyalgum Festival Committee to benefit from this generosity.   Donors can make a tax deductible gift to AbaF and express a preference that the donation goes to a particular arts organisation or artist. The AbaF board of business leaders takes the preference into consideration when making grants.


AbaF offers this as a free service to donors, arts organisations and artists thanks to the generous support of the Macquarie Group Foundation. This means that 100% of donations go directly to an arts organisation or artist once approved by the AbaF board.


In the past ten years more than $8.2 million has been donated to AbaF,  and granted in full to more than 4,000 artists and cultural organisations – it is a great program for groups like ours.


Your tax deductible 21st Anniversary gift of $2 or more will help ensure that the Tyalgum Festival Committee can continue to present world class programs for many years to come.


We invite you to make your tax deductible donation by posting the donation form directly to the Australia Business Arts Foundation.  AbaF will provide you with a receipt and take your preference into consideration when allocating grants.
