CELEBRATING 30 + YEARS

A FEAST OF AMAZING ARTISTS AND MUSICAL FLAVOURS

Some thirty years ago, Carmel Kaine invited me to play

in a performance of the Schubert Octet

for an evening concert she was hosting at her home on Bald Mountain. This performance, which we played to an informed and appreciative audience, proved to be the catalyst for what was to become the Tyalgum Music Festival. To have played in the first of what is now widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest music festivals was a career highlight for me, and I am again honoured to serve as its Artistic Director for 2022-2023.

This year’s program will present a feast of amazing artists and musical flavours; performances from some of our youngest and brightest stars in a chamber music showcase, and an evening of Flamenco to spice up your Saturday night.

It will be my pleasure to welcome you all to the 2023 Tyalgum Music Festval, a celebraton of our shared love of music and the arts.   ----   Peter Luff
