A FEAST OF AMAZING ARTISTS AND MUSICAL FLAVOURS
Thirty years ago Carmel Kaine invited me to play in a performance of the Schubert Octet for an evening concert she was hostng at her home on Bald Mountain. This performance, which we played to an informed and appreciatve audience, proved to be the catalyst for what was to become the Tyalgum Music Festval. To have played in the first of what is now widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest music festvals was a career highlight for me, and I am now honoured to serve as its Artistic Director for 2021-2022.
This year’s program will present a feast of amazing artists and musical flavours, including a repeat of the Schubert Octet from that very first program; performances from some of our youngest and brightest stars in a chamber music showcase, and an evening of Cabaret to spice up your Saturday night.
It will be my pleasure to welcome you all to the 2022 Tyalgum Music Festval, a celebraton of our shared love of music and the arts. ---- Peter Luff
