CONCERT 1 - A French Affair
Welcome to the opening concert for TMF2021! It is a “French Affair” with beautiful evocative music and a showing of the 1908 French film “L’assassinet du Duc de Guise.” Celebrate our 30th anniversary with a glass of bubbles in the interval.

QCGU Chamber Ensemble showcase. Witness the “up and coming” and when they are famous you can say you saw them here first!
Free Event - A Little Bach
A free “pop up” event in Yasna’s Studio-Gallery. Take 20 and relax to the sounds of Bach’s Cello Suite No.1 in G Maj BWV1007 played by Hungarian cellist György Déri in this beautiful acoustic, surrounded by art.
CONCERT 3 - Behind the Scenes with our Composer in Residence
Join TMF2021 “Composer in Residence” Catherine Likhuta, as she gives an informative talk on her compositional process, jazz influences and the inspiration behind her commission for this year’s festival.

CONCERT 4 - Limpinwood Ensemble
A trip down memory lane as we play Schubert’s Octet, the piece that launched the Tyalgum Music Festival 30 years ago. The programme is rounded off with the World Premiere of Catherine Likhuta’s latest composition and Nielsen’s piece about unrequited love. Interval drinks courtesy of local distiller and TMF sponsor “Husk” gin.

CONCERT 5 - Cabaret Night
Entertainer extraordinaire, Jason Barry-Smith and pianist Luke Volker, present an evening of Cabaret in our own “Café de Tyalgum.” Sit at tables of four for an hour and a half of light classics, wine and nibbles.

CONCERT 6 - Formant
A Cappella vocal ensemble, Formant, present an hour long recital, perfect for a relaxing Sunday morning in the Caldera. Sit back with a coffee and enjoy the sound of six voices blending seamlessly in the beautiful acoustics of Tyalgum Hall. Programme to include works by Gustav Holst, Arvo Pärt, Laura Jekabsone, Billy Joel and a range of Australian composers.

CONCERT 7 - Conversations with Ed Ayres
Join ABC Classic presenter, Ed Ayres, as he talks about his life, books and his latest hair-raising adventure.... learning the French Horn!

Violinist Natsuko Yoshimoto and pianist Daniel de Borah present a recital of well loved masterpieces. Interval tea and scones will be served on the patio.
